History

We started our company in the spring of 2017 with the design of a door handle, specifically the Deauville collection. This collection is inspired by the beach of Deauville, with its iconic blue-and-white striped beach umbrellas. Driven by our love for both industrial design and art, Elke De Meersman created beautiful and original sandcast bronze hardware. She is motivated to craft door fittings from solid bronze, a valuable and durable material that radiates warmth.

At Roucca, we design, cast, and deliver high-quality, unique bronze door hardware. As a fusion of craftsmanship and art, we treat each piece as a unique work of art. We provide this sandcast hardware with a personal touch to European architects specializing in both rustic and contemporary styles, as well as to private customers.

The distinctive appearance of Roucca door hardware is achieved through our artisanal approach. Using the centuries-old sandcasting technique combined with the finest materials and finishes, our hardware acquires a unique character that cannot be replicated through machine production. Our patinas add a distinctive sheen. Because the bronze hardware is hand-crafted during the final finishing stages, there may be variations in gloss, tone, and appearance.
